A Rare & Coveted Monstera Sport

Meet the Monstera Devil Monster, one of the rarest and most talked-about Monsteras in the plant collector world. Though its exact lineage is not fully confirmed, this specimen is generally considered a sport or mutation of Monstera deliciosa. It is not a cross between two species, but rather a unique genetic variation (sometimes referred to as “Circuit Monstera”) that displays dramatic variegation and leaf structure.

The leaves of the Monstera Devil Monster often show a striking white or creamy core surrounded by deep green margins, arranged in a symmetrical, “ribcage-like”pattern. Leaves are deeply cut, with bold splits and holes (fenestrations), giving it an architectural, dramatic silhouette. The Devil MOnster climbs like other Monsteras, using aerial roots to latch onto supports, and can reach several feet in height (or more) under ideal conditions.
